A receipt scanner built for contractors
Contractors collect receipts everywhere: the supply house at 6 a.m., the hardware store on the way to a job, the gas station after. By Friday they're in the truck's door pocket, faded and folded, and nobody remembers which job half of them were for.
Bulk Receipt Scanner turns that pile into records you can use. Spread the week's receipts on the tailgate, take one photo (up to 8 receipts in it), and every receipt comes back on its own with the vendor, date, totals and every line item. Put each one on its job, and send them to QuickBooks or download a spreadsheet.
Put every receipt on the right job
Each receipt can carry a job. Pick one from your job list, or type a new job name right there on the receipt; there's no separate setup. Your most recent jobs are at the top of the list, so the job you're on this week is one tap away.
Later, filter your receipts by job to see what a job has cost in materials, or export one job's receipts for a customer or a bid review.
Line items, not just totals
A $612 supply-house receipt isn't one expense; it's lumber, fasteners, a blade and a coffee. Bulk Receipt Scanner reads every line: description, quantity, unit price and line total. The arithmetic is checked on every receipt, and anything that doesn't add up is flagged.
On a paid plan with QuickBooks connected, you can give individual lines their own QuickBooks category, so the materials go to job materials and the personal items go where they belong, all from one receipt.
For a crew: one shared workspace
On the Team plan, up to 10 people scan into one workspace for $99/month. Your crew snaps receipts on their own phones; the admin sees everyone's receipts in one place, with each receipt showing who scanned it, assigns each one to a job from the team's job list (the admin sets those up on the team page), and sends them to QuickBooks or exports them together.
Send them on
- QuickBooks Online (paid plans): each receipt lands as an expense with its image attached, ready to categorize. Duplicates are skipped.
- CSV (every plan): one row per receipt, or one row per line item for a materials breakdown.
Built for the field
- Works on your phone. No app to install; the scanner runs in your phone's browser. There's also an iPhone app if you prefer one.
- Rough paper, checked twice. Each receipt is cut out and straightened before it's read, and in your account a second check looks again at the date and money fields.
- Fast enough for Friday. One bulk batch takes up to 15 photos, so up to 120 receipts in one sitting.
