Why scan receipts in bulk?
Receipts pile up faster than anyone files them. A month of fuel, parts, meals and supplies ends up as a stack in a glovebox, a shoebox, or a camera roll, and each one means typing a vendor, a date and a total into something before it counts. A bulk receipt scanner turns that stack into records in one sitting: you photograph the receipts, check what was read, and move on.

Reading is only half of it. Each receipt keeps its photo, its line items and its totals together, so when a number looks odd you can see the paper it came from, and when the books need it, the receipt is already sorted and ready to send on.
How does a bulk receipt scan work?

1. Lay the receipts out and take the photo
Spread receipts flat on a table or the hood of the truck, with a little space between them and plain light. Photograph the whole spread. Up to 8 receipts fit in a photo, and a long receipt can go in a photo of its own. Take as many photos as you need, up to 15 photos per batch.

2. Add them and start the scan
Choose photos from your camera roll or take them on the spot, drop them onto the page, or add more in rounds. You can turn a photo that came out sideways before you start. Then one button reads them all.

3. Check what was read
Every receipt appears on its own, next to its photo, with the vendor, date, subtotal, tax, total, payment method and line items filled in. Anything the scanner was unsure of, or that does not add up, is marked so you look at it first instead of hunting for it. Fix a field in place and move to the next receipt.

4. Keep, send or export
Save the receipts one at a time, or save everything that is left when you are satisfied. From there you can send them into QuickBooks as expenses, or download them as a CSV for a spreadsheet or for your bookkeeper.

How do I get the cleanest read from a photo?
- Use a plain, contrasting surface, and keep receipts from overlapping.
- Light the spread evenly. Glare on glossy paper and a shadow across the totals are the usual causes of a wrong digit.
- Hold the phone square over the receipts so the text is not skewed, and let it focus before you shoot.
- Faded thermal paper reads best soon after it is printed. If a receipt is nearly blank, photograph it alone and correct what is missing in the review.
- Check the receipts marked for a look first. They are the ones where a figure did not add up or the text was hard to read.

How many receipts can I scan at once?
One bulk batch takes up to 15 photos per batch, with up to 8 receipts in each, so up to 120 receipts in under a minute. Add the photos together or in rounds, review what was read, then keep or export what you need.
Can I scan multiple receipts in one photo?
Yes, that is what the scanner is built for. Spread the receipts out flat on a contrasting surface so none overlap, take one photo, and each receipt in it becomes its own record with its own vendor, date, and total. A photo can hold up to 8 receipts. Sharp, evenly lit photos read best.
How do I scan receipts in bulk from my phone?
Open the scanner in your phone's browser, then take photos with the camera or choose them from your camera roll. iPhone photos (HEIC), JPEG, PNG, and WebP all work. There is also an iPhone app on the App Store if you would rather scan there.
What does it read from each receipt?
The vendor, date, subtotal, tax, total, and payment method, plus the individual line items, and the amount tendered and change due when the receipt prints them. You can correct any field in the review before you keep or export the receipt.
Does it check that the numbers add up?
Yes. It checks that the line items add up to the subtotal, that the subtotal plus tax equals the total, and that the amount tendered matches the total plus the change due. When something does not agree, it flags the receipt for a look instead of quietly changing a figure, and fields it is less sure of are marked in the review.
Can I send receipts to QuickBooks?
On a paid plan, yes. Connect your QuickBooks Online company once, then send receipts straight in: each lands as an expense ready to categorize, with the receipt photo attached. It is one way, receipts into QuickBooks, and duplicates are skipped. Every plan can also download a QuickBooks-ready CSV.
Can I export receipts to CSV?
Yes, on any plan: a QuickBooks-ready CSV, a generic CSV with ISO dates for spreadsheets and databases, and a detailed CSV with one row per line item.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free accounts can scan 20 photos a month, and the live demo needs no account at all. Individual is $19/month for unlimited scanning with everything kept automatically. Can a team share one workspace?
Yes. On the Team plan, up to 10 people scan into one shared workspace. The admin reviews everyone's receipts and can send them to QuickBooks or export them, with each receipt showing who scanned it.
What happens to my receipt photos?
Photos are stored securely and linked to the receipts they came from. A free account keeps them for at least 90 days; for paying customers they are kept for the life of the subscription plus at least 12 months, which helps if you ever need the original for a tax record. The AI providers that read your photos may keep their own copies under their own policies, which our AI notice explains.
Do I need to download an app?
No. The scanner runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. The iPhone app is optional.
